We all wish we had skin as soft and clear as a
baby's butt don’t we? And if we do, we wish to forever keep it, without those
little annoying monsters aka breakouts here and there. To have good if not perfect skin, we must maintain a daily skin care regimen and follow it religiously. Here's a list of things to do to get the best out of your skin and keep it glowing, flawless, and healthy. It's simple and easy, dont worry! ♥♥
2:
❥ Sleep. Good sleeping habits are so essential
for living a long, healthy, productive life. In fact, beauty sleep isn't just
an old wives' tale. Sleep allows the skin to restore its natural balance and
also increases the effectiveness of certain skin care ingredients, potentially
providing more benefit to your skin. Usually your eyes look so dark and puffy
after even a single night of poor sleep right? See for yourself! Lack of sleep
= dull and dehydrated complexion.
Lack of sleep also leads to increased level of
stress hormones in the body which causes increased inflammation within the skin
that subsequently leads to an acceleration of aging (WRINKLES!!!) and worsening
of acne too!
What should you do? Develop a regular bedtime
schedule and do make sure u stick to it. Avoid caffeine 4 hours before bed, get
regular exercise, try to wake up same time every morning even on weekends.
Sleep = beautiful and healthy skin.

❥Wash your face. Washing your face twice
everyday is so important to keep your skin clean and out of bacteria, which cause acne and face irritation.
Keep your face washbeside your toothbrush on ur sink so you can
remember to wash your face every morning and before you sleep at night or even
in your shower so you can wash it every day while showering. Make
sure you use a face wash that suits your skin type, be it oily, sensitive, dry,
acne prone, etc. This is the face wash I use and honestly a lot of my friends said this face wash made their skin so dry and flaky but for me, this is perfect! You should try face washes until you find the perfect one for you that suits your skin. Same goes to your moistrizer, toner, sunscreen, etc. You can also buy and try those that i've mentioned in this post, i rate them all 10/10!
4:
❥ Using face toner. Toners are important to use to cleanse
your skin and make your skin tone even and also to remove excess oils on the
skin. Also some toners prevent acne breakouts! The feeling after you apply your
toner is just amazing! Your skin will feel so tight and clean. Make sure you
use your toner twice morning and before you go to bed. Toners are used after
you've washed your face and your face should be completely dry. My favorite toner
is Clinique's face toner number 3.
❥Moisturize. It is just as important to
moisturize your body as it is to moisturize your face. When you wash your face
with face wash or even water only, the skin looses its normal ph balance and
also makes your skin so dry and flakey and also makes you break out more. After
you wash your face, and apply your
toner, apply your moisturizer and make sure you put a generous amount so it can
soak in. Also, make sure you buy the right moisturizer for your skin type! If
you have dry skin you don’t want to use a moisturizer for oily skin that would
only make your face look drier. I'm currently using Clinique's dramatically
different moisturizing gel (gel because I have oily skin)and I love it!
6:
❥ Sun protection. After you've moisturized your face, let your moisturizer soak in for 5-10 minutes and then apply your sunscreen. Sun screen is so important in protecting your face from the dangerous sunrays that cause cancer and wrinkles! Apply it after your moisturizer and before your foundation/primer. I'll soon write a post about the importance of protecting your skin from the sun, in this post it's too abbreviated because this post isn't about sunscreen.
So the steps in short are:
Wash your face
Apply face toner
Moisturize
Apply sunscreen
7:
❥Exfoliate. Exfoliating or scrubbing removes dead skin cells that can make your skin appear dull and without glow. Use a scrub designedfor exfoliation once or twice a week and don't forget your moisturizer after exfoliating and EVERYDAY! You won't believe how glowy and clean your face will look after you scrub it *-* I usually exfoliate during my shower.
Here's my fave scrub!! You'll find it everywhere, Spinney's, abela, jam3eya, carrefour, etc.

❥Face masks. Face masks are so healthy for your skin! Not to forget that they're fun to make and you can use stuff from your fridge! They're natural and also smell yummy ❥ Google "recipes for home made face masks" and you'll find hunderds and thousands of fun and easy to make face masks that will make your skin glow.
Girls who suffer from hair on their faces, do not go near shaving because if you start you'll never stop! Shaving is SOOO bad to ur skin i can't even explain! If you suffer from excess hair make sure you see a dermatologist or get laser procedures done.
Sleeping with make up on and being so lazy to remove it is one of the most horrible things you can do to your face. If you were so lazy and exhausted that you can't wash and clean your face, the least you can do is keep face wipes beside your bed and remove all the make up on your face. Remember, cleaning your make up with wipes or make up lotion alone isn't enough, you have to wash your face with pure water afterwards! This is my fave make up remover:
Last but not least eating a balanced diet and exercising also helps in making your skin better.
I know skin routines can be boring and you're just excited in the beggining but trust me once you start, you'll stick to it and you won't be able to go a day without it just like me! Even if i'm DEAD tired, I have to do all this every single day. I don't have perfect skin of course but I try to make it as good as possible by following this routine and i hope if you guys don't follow one already, you start following this xxxxx
Hope this post was beneficial :***
